About Us:

At the Mission to Seafarers in Sydney, our Chaplains deliver care and support to visiting seafarers with the assistance of our small team and volunteers. Together we work to support seafarers so they can survive one of the world’s loneliest and toughest jobs, away from loved ones and the comfort of home, often for 9 months or more.

Over the last 12 months, we have welcomed over 6300 seafarers from various faiths to our Centre. It is open 7 days a week offering practical help, a place to reconnect, recharge and renew. Our experienced Chaplains speak over seven languages between them to help meet the seafarers’ diverse needs at the Centre and through visits to ships, hospital and hotels.
