Throughout the year, we hold events to help raise support for Seafarers who visit Sydney ports. Here are the upcoming events for you to be aware of:
2027 Annual Seafarers Welfare Luncheon
Save the date:
At NSW Parliament House Sydney
Friday June 18, 2027, 12-2pm
Thank you to our 2026 Luncheon Sponsors!
Your contribution helped to ensure we could continue to expand our work caring for seafarers and also ensured that our premier industry event was once again a wonderful networking, professional education and caring opportunity for all involved.
Sponsorship opportunities for 2027 now open. Many organisations purchase tables to thank key staff and showcase to their industry colleagues their dedication to seafarers.
“Investing in seafarer wellbeing is not just about caring for people — it is a fundamental pillar of maritime safety, as essential as maintaining the ship’s mechanical integrity…I strongly believe that individually and together, the work we do can help safeguard and improve the health, dignity, and effectiveness of those who keep our world connected and challenge you all to consider how you could enhance your efforts.”
Kaylene Dale, keynote speaker at the MtS Seafarers Welfare Luncheon 2025
From terrorist attacks and the increasing risks of piracy to the global cost of living crisis; Seafarers continue to face wave after wave of challenges both at sea and in their daily lives. Join us as we pay tribute to their resilience in a practical way – by supporting the welfare work of our Mission.
Over 220 leaders and members of the port community and MtS supporters gathered in 2026. Our seafarers welfare luncheons have proven to be an excellent opportunity to connect with people involved in the maritime industry and to demonstrate your support for seafarers in a practical and enjoyable way. All funds raised support our wellbeing work for seafarers.
Companies often book tables as a way to thank dedicated staff or reward loyal partners. It is also an excellent way to celebrate the International Day of the Seafarer, albeit a week early.
The Luncheon includes drinks on arrival, entrée and main meal showcasing Australian produce, with matching Australian wines – prepared by chefs who have catered for Royalty!
