The Mission to Seafarers Christmas Appeal Raffle Winner
J Kaufmann of Sydney, a long-term MTS supporter, has won the prize of 90 minutes exploring Sydney Harbour with three friends or family on the Port Authority’s new, purpose-built firefighting vessel with the marine firefighters!
Thank you so much to the Port Authority for donating this exciting prize money can’t buy! It raised $944 towards our 2023 Christmas Appeal to buy sunglasses to put into our Christmas gift bags and to support our wellbeing services over this difficult and lonely time for many and into the new year.
Thank you to everyone who bought tickets. Only one person can win this generous prize, but your support will help us to encourage and welcome seafarers visiting Sydney.
It’s a tough time of year for seafarers and their families who are far away from each other at this special time of celebration. A simple sign of appreciation from us on land is a terrific encouragement to seafarers as they prepare mentally, physically and spiritually for the challenges of the new year.
We are all winners when we work together.
